     Creates a committee to develop a state lake health plan.

     Requires a report and recommendations by January 1, 1998.

     Allows the department of ecology to expedite requests to permit the application of pesticides to control nuisance weeds in lakes managed under chapter 90.24 RCW, including consideration of the use of herbicides such as copper sulfate or diquat.

     Expires April 1, 1998.
