SB 6773 - DIGEST

     Declares that a private property owner must receive compensation from government for a regulatory taking of private property.

     Provides that the compensation requirement does not apply if the regulation or restriction is imposed to prevent, mitigate, or abate a nuisance as defined by the laws of the state.

     Designates procedures for an application for compensation.

     Provides that if compensation is paid, the private property owner shall deliver to the government entity paying compensation title to whatever interest accurately represents the private property that has been taken.

     Requires a claim for compensation to be brought within the time period specified in RCW 4.16.080.
