     On page 3, line 20, strike "September" and insert "October"

EFFECT:  Changes effective date from September 1, 1997, to October 1, 1997, which is the beginning of a calendar quarter.  Reduces administrative burden for taxpayers who file quarterly.  The later effective date reduces the fiscal impact for the first biennium by $1.4 million.   With this change, the general fund fiscal impact of the bill for the 1st biennium is ($29,968,000).
