     On page 2, beginning on line 36, strike all of subsection (4).

Renumber the remaining subsections consecutively and correct internal references accordingly.

EFFECT: The proposed legislation creates authority for the State Board of Education to create 3 teacher assessments (tests) in specified subjects.  The amendment eliminates authority of the State Board of Education to implement a fourth teacher assessment in an unspecified category.
