     On page 4, beginning on line 17, strike subsection (5) and insert the following:

A(5)  An individual who is not an owner, operator, or employee of a child-serving agency is guilty of a misdemeanor if the individual violates subsection (1) of this section with the intent to engage the child in a crime, to conceal the child from law enforcement, the department, or the child=s parents, or to assist the minor to avoid or attempt to avoid the custody of a law enforcement officer.@

EFFECT: Narrows the group of individuals who are subject to a penalty for not notifying law enforcement, DSHS, or a child=s parents of the location of a child.
