A school district shall not be required to assume co-sponsorship after the beginning of a school year unless the school district and the charter school board of directors agree that the school district will assume co-sponsorship during the school year.  Before the school district becomes a co-sponsor, the funding provisions of section 14(2) apply to the charter between the charter school and the alternate sponsor.  After the school district becomes a co-sponsor, the funding provisions of section 14(1) apply to the charter between the school district and the charter school.  A school district does not have the right to appeal the requirement to become a co-sponsor as provided under this subsection (6) of this section.@
