     On page 12, beginning on line 6, strike subsection (3) and insert:

A(3) Neither a school district nor an alternate sponsor may sponsor a charter school in a school district with a student enrollment of less than one thousand students until June 1, 2000.@

EFFECT: Alternate sponsors, as well as school districts, may not sponsor a charter school in districts with student enrollment of less than 1000 students until June 1, 2000.
