     On page 42 of the striking amendment, after line 25, insert:

     "NEW SECTION. Sec. 609.  If the legislature amends any of sections 201 through 209 of his act, the amendatory act shall be submitted to the people for their adoption and ratification, or rejection, at an election to be held in this state, in accordance with Article II, section 1 of the state Constitution and the laws adopted to facilitate its operation.  Unless the team affiliate as defined in section 101 of this act enters into an agreement with the secretary of state to reimburse the state and the counties for the cost of submitting the amendatory act to the people, the amending act shall be null and void."

     Renumber sections consecutively, correct any internal references accordingly, and correct the title.

EFFECT:  Any future amendments to the tax sections must be referred to the voters, and the team affiliate must pay the cost of the referendum election.
