     On page 41, line 6 of the striking amendment, after Aat the@ strike Aspecial election on June 20, 1997" and insert Anext general election@

     Beginning on page 41, line 22 of the striking amendment, strike sections 607 and 608 and insert the following:

ANEW SECTION. Sec. 607. The secretary of state shall submit this act to the people for their adoption and ratification, or rejection, at the next general election to be held in this state, in accordance with Article II, section 1 of the state Constitution and the laws adopted to facilitate its operation.@

Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct internal references accordingly.

EFFECT: Changes the date of the public vote of the football stadium  from June 20, 1997 to the November 1997 general election.
