     On page 8, beginning on line 4, after "services" strike all material through "uses" on line 6

     On page 9, beginning on line 4, after "uses" strike all material through "sprawl" on line 10

     On page 9, line 16, after "that" strike ", as of July 1, 1990,"

EFFECT:  In the rural element, the requirement that nonresidential uses be principally designed to serve the rural population and existing nonresidential uses is deleted.  The restrictions on intensification of development on lots containing isolated nonresidential uses are stricken.  The requirement that a county adopt measures to contain more intensive rural development in existing areas is modified so that existing areas are not limited as of July 1, 1990.
