     On page 68, line 27, after Awinter of 1996-97.@ insert: AThe amount provided in this subsection is contingent upon the enactment of Substitute House Bill No. 1478 (winter wildlife feeding).  If the bill is not enacted by June 30, 1997, the amount provided in this subsection shall lapse.@

EFFECT: Makes the amount appropriated to the Department of Fish and Wildlife for emergency winter feeding of deer and elk during the 1996-97 winter contingent upon the enactment of SHB 1478.  SHB 1478 provides a funding mechanism to address  emergency winter feeding problems in the future.

FISCAL IMPACT: None.
