     On page 3, line 23, after Aonly for@ strike everything through Athis act@ on line 25 and insert Aadministration and operation of programs to improve pedestrian and bicycle safety@

     On page 3, line 26, delete all of subsections (2) and (3) and insert the following:

A(2) The following are eligible for grant funds on a matching basis under this program: state agencies, political subdivisions of the state, and nonprofit organizations, including but not limited to bicycling groups and community and civic organizations.  All entities receiving matching funds must provide a regularly scheduled program complying with standards established by the commission.@

     On page 5, line 31, after Asection 4@, strike A(2) and (3)@.

EFFECT:    Expands and clarifies the organizations eligible grant

               funding under this act.  Allows the Traffic Safety

               Commission to expend funds to provide safety equipment

               and supplies and provide other support for bicycle and

               pedestrian safety programs.
