      On page 11, after line 22, insert the following:

A(4) The rate adjustment provided in subsection (1) of this section shall be effective upon the completion of the nursing facility=s renovation project and only if the costs exceed $4 million.@

EFFECT: Clarifies that the adjustment in property value only occurs upon the completion of a major renovation project and reduces the fiscal impact, general fund--state, from $425,000 to $107,000 in the next biennium beginning July 1, 1997.
