    On page 2, line 11, after "investigations" strike "upon its own motion or in response to a written complaint"

    On page 3, line 8, after "allegation." strike all material through "chapter." on line 11

EFFECT:  Deletes language that the state board of registration for engineers and land surveyors may initiate an investigation of a registered engineer or land surveyor on its own.

    On page 3, line 7, after "sworn to" insert "in writing"

    On page 3, line 8, after "the allegation." insert "A registrant against whom a complaint was made must be immediately informed of such complaint by the board."

EFFECT:  Requires all complaints against registrants to be sworn to in writing.  The Board of Registration must immediately inform a registrant when a complaint is filed against him or her.
