     On page 41, line 34, increase the general fund--state appropriation for fiscal year 1998 by $30,021,000

     On page 41, line 35, increase the general fund--state appropriation for fiscal year 1999 by $42,707,000

     Adjust the total accordingly.

     On page 42, line 8, after Arequirements,@ strike all material through Alevels,@

     On page 42, line 11, strike A132,500 persons during fiscal years 1998 and 1999" and insert A139,400 persons in fiscal year 1998 and 149,150 persons in fiscal year 1999"

     On page 42, beginning on line 25, strike all of subsection (5)

     Renumber the remaining subsections accordingly and correct internal references.

EFFECT: Restores funding for Basic Health Plan to retain current BHP practices regarding subsidy scale, minimum premium, and fees paid by financial sponsors who are also BHP providers.  Increases enrollments by 10,000 in FY 1998 and 20,000 in FY 1999.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Increases General Fund-State by $72,728,000.
