     On page 70, line 5, reduce the general fund--state appropriation for FY 1998 by $250,000

     On page 70, line 6, reduce the general fund--state appropriation for FY 1999 by $250,000

     Correct the total accordingly.

     On page 70, beginning with line 22, strike subsection (1)(b)

Renumber the remaining subsections consecutively and correct internal references accordingly.

EFFECT: Eliminates funding to enhance computer systems and support in the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction and funding for the continued development of a state student record system in cooperation with the Commission on Student Learning.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Reduces General Fund-State by $500,000.
