     On page 101, after line 37, insert the following:

A(4) At each institution receiving appropriations under sections 604 through 609 of this act, all faculty shall participate in a faculty productivity plan to achieve scheduled course contact hours of at least 10.9 hours per week by September 1, 1998, and institutions shall report to the appropriate policy and fiscal committees of the legislature by December 1 of each year as to the improvement in scheduled course contact hours.@

     Renumber the remaining subsection consecutively and correct any internal references.

EFFECT: Faculty at the baccalaureate institutions shall participate in a productivity plan to increase scheduled course contact hours to 10.9 hours per week by September 1, 1998.
