     On page 35, line 13 increase the general fund--state appropriation for fiscal year 1998 by $6,050,000

     On page 35, line 14, increase the general fund--state appropriation for fiscal year 1999 by $6,050,000

     Adjust the total accordingly.

     On page 36, after line 16, insert the following:

A(4) $85,200,000 of the appropriations contained in this section are provided solely for increased child care subsidies for low income working families and families receiving temporary assistance for needy families.@

EFFECT: Increases child care funding related to welfare reform to the Governor Locke level.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Increases General Fund-State by $12,100,000.
