      On page 16, line 17, increase the general fund--state fiscal 1999 appropriation by $585,000

      Adjust the total accordingly

      On page 22, after line 31, insert the following:

A(23) $968,000 of the general fund--state appropriation is provided solely for the emergency food assistance program.@

EFFECT:  Increases the amount provided for the emergency food                        assistance program to a total of $968,000 in fiscal year 1999.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Increases General Fund-State by $585,000.
