     On page 10, after line 2, insert the following:

     "NEW SECTION. Sec. 4.  This act is effective January 1, 1999."

EFFECT: Reduces cost of bill implementation by $300,000 by delaying implementation until after the department of licensing has substantially completed its year 2000 computer system conversion projects.
