     On page 3, after line 22, insert the following:

A(8)  Each telecommunications carrier that provides intrastate telecommunications services shall provide whatever information the commission may reasonably require in order to fulfill the commission=s responsibilities under subsection (2) of this section.@

EFFECT:  Requires all telecommunications carriers providing intrastate service to provide necessary information to the Washington Utilities & Transportation Commission (WUTC)for use in preparing the universal service program for legislative approval.  The requirement applies regardless of whether a telecommunications carrier is currently regulated by the WUTC.
