ESHB 1338 - S AMD TO GO COMM AMD (S-2880.1/97) - 546

    On page 4, after line 32, insert the following:

    "(7) A county, and the cities within such county, that is removed from planning under this section pursuant to the removal procedures in this section, shall reimburse to the state the full amount of state financial assistance previously extended to such county and cities therein.  The department of community, trade and economic development shall develop a repayment schedule with such county and cities to extend no more than five years."

    Renumber the sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

EFFECT: Provides for reimbursement to the state for planning grants when a county removes itself from GMA planning.
