EFFECT:  This language adds persons who are chemically dependent to the list of individuals who need long-term care and will be included in the study and other elements of the bill.

EFFECT:  This language further clarifies that the long-term care study authorized in the legislation will include a review of current programs and services and will also include a close look at health and safety issues for long-term care residents.

EFFECT:  These amendments make technical corrections to four sections of the bill.
