    On page 28, after line 6, insert the following:

    "NEW SECTION. Sec. 34. The department of social and health services shall, within existing funds, review the admissions under sections 11 and 21 of this act.  The review shall include the number of admissions for each section, the average length of time minors are held for treatment under the sections, the number of minors who are brought to the facilities or programs and not admitted by professional persons who are employed by, or under contract with, the facilities or programs, the number of minors who are brought to the facilities or programs and are not admitted by professionals who are not employed or under contract with the facilities or programs, the nature of the mental disorders of minors admitted under section 11, the nature of the alcohol or chemical dependency conditions of minors admitted under section 21, the number of minors who are released as a result of reviews by the department as required by this act.  The report shall be made to the legislature and governor not later than July 1, 1999."

Renumber the remaining section and correct internal cross-references.
