On page 50, line 6, increase the general fund--private/local appropriation by 228,000
Adjust the total appropriation accordingly.
On page 50, starting on line 8, strike everything starting with "The appropriations" through "management plan" on line 15
On page 50, after line 7, insert the following:
"(1) $301,000 of the general fund-state appropriation for fiscal year 1998 and $300,000 of the general fund-state appropriation for fiscal year 1999 are provided solely for the commission to continue to carry out its mandated duties under the Columbia river gorge national scenic area act.
(2) $59,000 of the general fund-state appropriation for fiscal year 1998 and $58,000 of the general-fund state appropriation for fiscal year 1999 are provided solely for a program to monitor implementation of the Columbia river gorge national scenic management plan."
