Background:  Under the Administrative Procedure Act, a person seeking judicial review of an agency action must file a petition with the court and serve it on the agency, the Office of the Attorney General, and all parties of record.  Service on the agency is by delivery of a copy of the petition to the office of the director, or other chief administrative officer or chairperson of the agency, at the principal office of the agency.

 

Summary of Bill:  Service on the attorney of record of any agency or party of record in a judicial review of an agency action constitutes service on the agency of party of record.

Effective Date:  Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
