BACKGROUND:  

 

Under the Administrative Procedure Act, a person seeking judicial review of an agency action must file a petition with the court and serve it on the agency, the office of the attorney general, and all parties of record.  Service on the agency is by delivery of a copy of the petition to the office of the director, or other chief administrative officer or chairperson of the agency, at the principal office of the agency.

 

SUMMARY:  

 

Service on the attorney of record of any agency or party of record in a judicial review of an agency action constitutes service on the agency of party of record.
