Background:  Six errors have been discovered in the Revised Code of Washington.  These consist of scrivener's errors and inconsistencies.

 

Summary of Bill:  Technical changes are made to make the enacted law conform to the Legislature's intent.

 

The statute regarding insurance benefits to newborn babies is amended.  Health insurance coverage for newly born children is required for three weeks from birth, whether or not the insured's benefits include maternity care.

 

Appropriation:  None.

 

Fiscal Note:  Not requested.

 

Effective Date:  Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed, except for section 5 which takes effect June 30, 2000.
