Summary of Bill: The Department of Labor and Industries can exempt by rule the testing, repair, modification, maintenance, or component installation work performed on premanufactured electric power generation equipment assemblies and control gear.

Effective Date: Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
Testimony For: The work in question is internal to generators. Those involved have agreed that exemption should be accomplished by rule, and it is necessary to give authorization to the department.
