Assisting in the development of alternative trade organizations.

    AN ACT Relating to alternative trade organizations; and adding a new section to chapter 43.330 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 43.330 RCW to read as follows:

    The department shall provide technical assistance to organizations to assist in the development of alternative trade organizations throughout the state.  As used in this section, "alternative trade organizations" are nonprofit organizations dedicated to linking state and national markets to products produced by low-income artisans and farmers in other parts of the world.
