Limiting health care services provided to common school students.

    AN ACT Relating to student health services; and amending RCW 28A.210.300.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

    Sec. 1.  RCW 28A.210.300 and 1975 c 43 s 20 are each amended to read as follows:

    The board of directors of any school district of the second class may employ a regularly licensed physician or a licensed public health nurse for the purpose of protecting the health of the children in said district.  Health care services provided or made available either directly or indirectly to students through the common schools or on school grounds shall be limited to emergency medical services, first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the administration of oral medication, services identified in a special education student's individual education plan, and those services required in this chapter.
