Creating an interim study on state agency and educational institutions contracting with women and minority businesses.

    AN ACT Relating to bidding procedures used by state agencies and educational institutions to comply with goals for participation of women and minority-owned and controlled businesses in public works and procuring goods or services; and creating a new section.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  The committee on government administration shall study the process by which contracts are let to women and minority businesses during the 1997 interim and prepare any needed legislation.
