Requiring an economic impact analysis of certain proposed government actions.


    AN ACT Relating to economic impact analysis of proposed actions by government; and adding a new section to chapter 43.21C RCW.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

    NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 43.21C RCW to read as follows:

    Whenever a county or city that plans under RCW 36.70A.040 prepares a detailed statement under this chapter on a proposed comprehensive plan or subarea plan, or amendments thereto, the county or city shall also analyze the potential economic impacts arising from the proposal, including potential economic impacts on property owners.
