Providing property tax exemptions for property with an assessed value of less than one thousand dollars.

    AN ACT Relating to property tax exemptions for property with an assessed value of less than one thousand dollars; adding a new section to chapter 84.36 RCW; and creating a new section.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 84.36 RCW to read as follows:

    Each parcel of property, whether real or personal, that has an assessed value of less than one thousand dollars is exempt from taxation.  This section does not apply to personal property exempted from taxation under RCW 84.36.110.

NEW SECTION. Sec. 2.  This act applies to taxes levied for collection in 1998 and thereafter.
