Requiring teacher applicants to show proof of CPR training.

    AN ACT Relating to cardiopulmonary resuscitation training for certificated teachers; and adding a new section to chapter 28A.400 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 28A.400 RCW to read as follows:

    Applicants for teacher certification under this chapter shall show proof of training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.  Costs of training shall be borne by applicants.
