Requiring consideration of tourist seasons for infrastructure financing.


    AN ACT Relating to infrastructure financing; and adding a new section to chapter 43.155 RCW.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

    NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 43.155 RCW to read as follows:

    In addition to the requirements of RCW 43.155.070, the department shall, in awarding funds under this chapter, consider the impact of peak tourism periods on the community in the design, construction, or repair of a local government's streets, roads, bridges, water systems, and storm and sanitary sewage systems.
