Declaring findings of benefits from stadiums and exhibit centers.


    AN ACT Relating to stadiums and exhibit centers; and creating a new section.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

    NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.  The legislature finds that regional and state economies are enhanced by having facilities to accommodate both sporting events and exhibits.

    The legislature further finds that the direct and indirect economic benefits of professional sports and exhibits generate revenue and jobs to the economy.

    The legislature further finds that there is a need to provide adequate facilities for professional sports and exhibitions.

    The legislature further finds that a fair, balanced funding partnership between the private sector, the public sector, and the facility users is vital.
