Limiting the promotion of gambling.

    AN ACT Relating to limiting the promotion of gambling; and adding a new section to chapter 43.330 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 43.330 RCW to read as follows:

    The department may not promote gambling activity, as defined under chapter 9.46 RCW, that is not subject to taxation or specifically exempted from taxation under RCW 9.46.110.  For the purposes of this section, a gambling activity is considered subject to taxation under RCW 9.46.110, whether or not the taxing jurisdiction imposes a tax on the activity.
