Reimbursing costs for certain criminal behavior.

    AN ACT Relating to reimbursements for costs due to criminal behavior associated with state institutions; and adding a new section to chapter 72.72 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 72.72 RCW to read as follows:

    (1) Under any rules adopted by the secretary of social and health services or the secretary of corrections under RCW 72.72.040, Rainier State School, located in the city of Buckley in Pierce county, must be included in the list of institutions and political subdivisions that are eligible for reimbursement.

    (2) For the purposes of reimbursement under this chapter, the city of Buckley in Pierce county must be reimbursed for criminal justice costs occasioned by the criminal behavior of both the residents and the employees of Rainier State School, located in the city of Buckley.
