AN ACT Relating to household members excluded from WorkFirst assistance units; and adding new sections to chapter 74.08A RCW.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:
NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to chapter 74.08A RCW to read as follows:
In determining eligibility for the temporary assistance for needy families program of an assistance unit under this title, if a household member is excluded from an assistance unit based on residency, alienage, or citizenship of the household member, the department shall allocate the full amount of the household's income to the assistance unit without deducting an amount for the support of the household member.
NEW SECTION. Sec. 2. A new section is added to chapter 74.08A RCW to read as follows:
If a household member is excluded from an assistance unit under section 1 of this act, the excluded household member shall comply with all conditions of eligibility and other requirements and limitations under this chapter.
