Providing residential living arrangements for adults with severe developmental disabilities.

    AN ACT Relating to residential living arrangements for adults with severe developmental disabilities; adding a new section to chapter 71A.12 RCW; and making an appropriation.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 71A.12 RCW to read as follows:

    The department shall contract with a private nonprofit organization overseen by a board of parents to provide housing and related services to four adults with severe developmental disabilities in a community residential living arrangement.

NEW SECTION. Sec. 2.  The sum of ... dollars, or as much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1999, from the general fund to the department of social and health services for the purposes of this act.
