Providing tax exemptions related to thoroughbred horses.



    AN ACT Relating to tax exemptions related to thoroughbred horses; adding a new section to chapter 82.04 RCW; adding a new section to chapter 82.08 RCW; and adding a new section to chapter 82.12 RCW.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

    NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 82.04 RCW to read as follows:

    This chapter does not apply to any person in respect to the business of raising, breeding, training, or selling thoroughbred race horses.  This chapter does not apply to any person in respect to the business of conducting race meets for the conduct of which a license must be secured from the horse racing commission; nor does this chapter apply to any amounts received as purses for thoroughbred races.

 

    NEW SECTION.  Sec. 2.  A new section is added to chapter 82.08 RCW to read as follows:

    The tax levied by RCW 82.08.020 does not apply to sales of feed sold for thoroughbred race horses.

 

    NEW SECTION.  Sec. 3.  A new section is added to chapter 82.12 RCW to read as follows:

    The provisions of this chapter does not apply in respect to the use of feed for thoroughbred race horses.
