Prohibiting teachers' unions and members of teachers' unions from contributing to campaigns for school board directors.

    AN ACT Relating to campaign contributions by members of educational employee bargaining units; and adding a new section to chapter 42.17 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 42.17 RCW to read as follows:

    No bargaining representative for certificated educational employees or member of a bargaining unit for certificated educational employees may make a contribution as defined in RCW 42.17.020(14) to any candidate for any school board of directors.
