Defining gross receipts for the purpose of chapter 9.46 RCW.

    AN ACT Relating to defining gross receipts from activities under chapter 9.46 RCW; adding a new section to chapter 9.46 RCW; and providing an effective date.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 9.46 RCW to read as follows:

    For purposes of this chapter, "gross receipts" includes only those amounts actually received from the gambling activity of punch boards and pull-tabs less prizes and the cost of the games.

NEW SECTION. Sec. 2.  This act takes effect January 1, 1998.
