Giving counties an option to enter into agreements with the department of ecology for water rights permitting.

    AN ACT Relating to local options for water rights permitting; adding a new section to chapter 90.03 RCW; and adding a new section to chapter 90.44 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 90.03 RCW to read as follows:

    Counties may enter into agreements with the department for water rights permitting.  Any agreement under this section shall be at the county's option.

NEW SECTION. Sec. 2.  A new section is added to chapter 90.44 RCW to read as follows:

    Counties may enter into agreements with the department for water rights permitting.  Any agreement under this section shall be at the county's option.
