Revising permit requirements for water recreation facilities.

    AN ACT Relating to water recreation facilities; amending RCW 70.90.150; and repealing RCW 70.90.170.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

    Sec. 1.  RCW 70.90.150 and 1986 c 236 s 6 are each amended to read as follows:

    (1) Local health officers may establish and collect permit fees sufficient to cover their costs incurred in ((carrying out their duties under this chapter and the rules adopted under this chapter)) issuing permits under RCW 70.90.160.

    (2) The department may establish and collect permit fees sufficient to cover its costs incurred in ((carrying out its duties under this chapter.  The fees shall be deposited in the state general fund)) issuing permits under RCW 70.90.160.

    (3) A person shall not be required to submit fees at both the state and local levels.

NEW SECTION. Sec. 2.  RCW 70.90.170 and 1987 c 222 s 8 & 1986 c 236 s 8 are each repealed.
