HB 1662 - DIGEST

     Declares that, to accomplish predictability and affordability in tuition rates, beginning with the 1998-99 academic year, the legislature intends that an increase in tuition rates not exceed three percent per year.

     Declares a policy of the state that general tax support for public postsecondary instruction also change to reflect an increase in the ratio of general tax support to tuition by no less than one percent per year.
