HB 1962 - DIGEST

 

     Provides that students attending state-approved private schools may receive loaned learning materials from the local school district in which the private school is located.

     Declares that learning materials eligible for loan shall include, but not be limited to:  Supplies, textbooks, workbooks, audio-visual aids, and technology made available, free of additional charge, for students in the state's public schools.

     Makes an appropriation of two million dollars for the biennium ending June 30, 1999, from the general fund to the office of the superintendent of public instruction.
