HB 2368 - DIGEST

(SUBSTITUTED FOR - SEE 1ST SUB)

     Provides that, any adult or juvenile convicted of a sex or kidnapping offense who is admitted to a public or private institution of higher education shall, within ten days of receiving notice of the admission, register with the institution's department of public safety and shall provide that department with the same information to be provided a county sheriff.

     Declares that it is unlawful for a person to carry onto, or to possess on, the campus of any public or private institution of higher education, or any properties or facilities owned or controlled by such institution of higher education any firearm or any other dangerous weapon as defined in RCW 9.41.250.

     Specifies situations which do not constitute a violation.
