HB 2377-S2 - DIGEST

(DIGEST OF PROPOSED 2ND SUBSTITUTE)

     Revises RCW 28B.15.012 and 28B.15.014 to change the definition of resident for purposes of higher education tuition.

     Requires that, by October 1, 1998, the higher education coordinating board, in cooperation with the institutions of higher education, shall review the state policies regarding student residency requirements for tuition paying purposes.  By October 1, 1998, the board shall make recommendations to the governor and the legislature regarding student residency policies.
